I may be wandering around the course today after 12 noon, looking for where I left my game this past Saturday.

Gonna try to beat the rain with a 9am start....... Karl from CT is coming up to play and check out Blatnick too, weather permitting. You may remember him from an overhand clinic we had at Jpark a couple years back.

Oh and Phil may be there too.

Tees are an icy disaster.
Spikes are strongly recommended.

....or you could go play Blatnick.

A handful of stalwarts out playing today. Couple of inches of snow, many icy spots, snow is dry and not very packed off current trails. No need for ribbons yet. Tread Spikes or spring style Trax are helpful.

wow that was treacherous... couldnt play the true tees on 1, 2, 4, 5 (by a lot), 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 (well i didnt bother), 16, 17.

the greens were treacherous icey on 8, 9 (wow), 11, 12 (well it was scary to think of the slide that COULD have happen), 14, 17, 18 was an ice bowl but manageable.

if the ice thats already out there stays and thickens up it is gonna be brutal. Not the optimal weather to try and throw new discs but glad i got out!

couldn't believe all of the fallen soldiers (broken sleds) on 15!

Played yesterday 1.17.14 from blue tees...kinda. Tees are buried. Fairways have a couple of inches if snow over whatever is below. No traction problems. I didn't use ribbons and had no issues finding discs.
I'd be game for a round today 1.18.13 at 12N ish.

Awaiting Mark S's. report of " little snow. totally playable conditions "
This week the temps will drop again and it will be time for Ice Golf!!
Last year I made a 100 yard diameter bullseye out on Iroquois Pond at CPS.
Put my Basket out by the fountain and we threw off the hill to the right of Basket 16.
Win prizes and enjoy the ice.
And look for me by the Twin Bridges, the ice on the Mohawk should be frozen enough for
some River golf skating biathalon training, to amuse thr motorists driving by.

Played again yesterday 1.18.14. Lot's of tracks in the snow now. I brought my cart conversion out yesterday so the tracks between the parallel wheel tracks are mine :character-oldtimer: If you're sitting home with cabin fever, get off the lounger and play a round of DGolf in the snow. Work on your standing throws. Conditions are just fine. Just dress warm. :character-smurfgrandpa:

Love following Mark's post from Jan 19th. "stand and throw practice"
Here it is March 3rd and CPS is STILL unplayable. This has to change.
We need more winter options. In my dream......(Other than the putting league)
We finish installing pavers so that next winter they can be maintained
with shovels and brooms, so that we CAN go play CPS when the urge arises.
Managed to keep the J Park west side playable because the pavers were clearable.
The CPS dubs league may need to clear the tees for the first meetup

Thinking about CPS tomorrow 3.15.14. Looks like the weather is clearing in the afternoon.

It's stand and deliver time. You know what I mean?
