Jeff if you use that ob/mando sheet make sure to change the mando rule. It was updated this year. No mire drop it's throw from previous lie only. So for cps mandos that would be a retee.

i think you land on a link to pdga rules... would you be so kind to share with the group the response you expected/wanted to your original observation/request? thanks.

Sure. This is th ekind of challenge I like: Taking complex things and making them clear and simple. I will try and finish before Monday in time to allow comments and refinements before the Play It Again Open.

According to the rules revised 1/1/13: "804.02 C:A throw that has missed the mandatory results in a one-throw penalty. The next throw shall be made from the drop zone, as designated for that mandatory." and "804.02 D: If no drop zone has been designated, the player shall play from the previous lie."
So Kenji is correct, but only because CPS has no drop zones.

Well, it came about from throwing a roller during a round a couple days ago on 15 that went down the hill and crossed the road... I couldn't remember if it was OB for doing so or not. I thought it may have been, but I only really remembered the road being OB on 16.

You are out of bounds if your disc stopped completely out of bounds. Add a penalty throw to your score. Then you have 3 options of where to throw from: 1) Your last lie, 2) In the part of a circle 3 feet in radius where your disc last crossed the OB line, no closer to the hole than the spot it crossed and not OB, or 3) From the drop zone (if there is one).

Yup, I figured that out. Thanks everyone! Glad to inspire some conversation.

Also, I'd mention that for casual play, I doubt you'll convince people that aren't readers here that either of those is out of bounds. Or, at a minimum, you would need to update the tee signs in order to do so, and have it explicitly stated.

I realize that which is why i suggested it for competitive play; tournies, leagues, and tag matches.

Out of Bounds(OB) and mandatory specifics

*Up to 1 meter relief from all OB. You cannot throw from OB.
*All missed mandos must be re-thrown from previous lie OR drop I meter DIRECTLY behind the mando tree with 1 stroke penalty.

Looks like everything still applies except the trailer on 8.

The 2013 mando change was missed.
You do NOT drop directly behind the mando.
If you miss the mando, since I don't know of any drop zones at CPS, you must go to the previous lie with one stoke penalty.
