don't go shad. they only want schenec residents there and think it's really not a concern, particularly based on the emails from the city that i read this morning.

Got an email from Bob today that says the residents are concerned about the parks dept. cutting down too much plant life, not the course itself.

Having walked through the woods in the park just last night (I live near hole 5) I can say that perhaps these residents should be more concerned with the litter. Holy cow, its looking nasty in there....and not just in the woods. That stream out in the open near the playground – what a mess.

Also, those woods could stand to be cleaned up IMO. Although I certainly defer to the arborist, it looks like the undergrowth there could use a good trimming! A nice pine forest without all that crap in the understory is a beautiful thing.\

Hopefully things go well tonight!

good info swank. a park cleanup sponsored by DisCap would go a long way to generating some positive exposure. perhaps we should discuss this with Bob. Bob?
I'd also like to see 'carry in - carry out' info on the kiosk.
We could also try Walker's game, where we take a trach bag out during a round and fill it with all litter we find, and the loser of each hole has to carry it. Would make clean up fun.

OK Cliff notes from tonight meeting.
-Ok to install holes 1-3
-Need to redesign to only 5 holes in the dog walking/trails area.
-Gained more access to other areas of the park but will require significant more work. area between fehr ave and ashmore ave, and area between monument hill rd and st claires hospital.
-City and Arborist are on board to get a good quick compromise between us and the locals. meeting in just under 2 weeks to finalize redesign with locals before council meeting 2 weeks from today.
I'll let Bob and Justin fill in the details later. They were in a rush to watch the NCAA Finals. Enjoy the game Bob and Justin THANKS for all your efforts.
