So we got word that we can get some used telephone poles for bridge beams. The main thing we need is an accurate measurement across the banks. Anyone wanna lend a hand holding one end of the tape? All I have is a 25ft one so i'm hoping it's not any longer than that.

I talked with Jzip about assisting with the bridge. I am def. on board to help and have tools to contribute. Keep in mind I have my partner @ home who is 7 months pregnant (woohoo!) and a full time job but am eager to step it up for Discap! So please keep me posted 8-)

The temp bridge is gone after the last heavy rain storm. we can get the green bars back and drive in some thick wood into the down stream side of the creek it might hold until the spring I have a sledge and am willing to help.

there is movement on the construction of a new, permanent bridge. the BoD is holding a meeting (likely Mon 10/29) and this will be one of the matters discussed. there is a bit of red tape to work through so we will devise a plan for attacking this ongoing frustrating issue once and for all.

thx for the info Ryan and the offer to help.

In the meantime, please make an attempt to at least pull the bridge pieces out of the creekbed.

Thought: The Hurricane Sandy is going to hit Tuesday whether it hits heavy or mildly it'll bring a lot of rain. I am willing to fix the bridge Saturday but, I think it would be futile and we can wait until after the storm

We need a work crew out at CPS asap. I will be unable to help this weekend as I will be laid up from a medical procedure.

I will certainly do whatever I can in the way of organization from home.

The 2 matters that need to be addressed immediately are the bridge on Hole 5, and rehanging the fence around the stadium court. I believe I may have some fence clips at home and if so will happily donate them to the cause.

So, who is going to part of "they"? This weekend's weather, particularly Sunday, looks pretty nice.

The city hasn't cut up that tree that came down? I'll bring my saw if its still there, just let me know.

Tees were discussed tonight at the BOD meeting. Before tournament we will level off and relay all tees that need it. Bob has a contact that is willing to give us free pavers. They will be 2x2 and come from left over concrete jobs. The concrete guy will make molds and at the end of each job when he has left over he will pour us 2x2s. The colors will probably be different and we will get them a little at a time. Bob guy said he thinks he can get them to us all this season. 160 pavers. 16 tees 10 2x2s each. I'm willing to wait for free pavers. So what gets done as far as paver tees before the tourney i'm not sure. I will add blocks to 8 to have it the same size as the tees we will be installing and 18 to have it meet up with the sidewalk.

The city hasn't cut up the tree that fell. Greg if you could bring your saw so we can clean up the branches that would be great. The trunk is big and can stay or be stashed for now. Maybe we can make some more benches out of it.

Free pavers sounds good! Whenever we get enough for a tee box, we can get after it. I will bring my saw on Thursday.
