Back 9 Progress

Post by Aaron92 » Tue Dec 17, 2019 10:34 am

The back 9 disc golf holes are almost done! With just a little more clearing and some play testing, we are ready to roll on baskets for the back 9. This means it is time to start gathering sponsors!

Our first 9 holes came together quickly with big support from local companies and individuals. We would like to thank Argyle Brewing Company, The Fort Miller Group, Barrelhouse Saratoga, Driscoll Foods, and all the individuals who helped make this course happen.
We have an awesome set of wooded holes laid out and cleared, and now all we need is you!

If you or a business you are connected to would be interested in sponsoring a hole, please contact us at aadams@ctkcenter.org. The cost to sponsor is $350, which helps us purchase professional caliber baskets and other course materials. In return for your donation you will receive a prominent spot on the tee sign to advertise your company, post a memorial, or simply honor someone you know. This is a great way to help us provide recreation opportunity to those in our community, as well as advertise your business.

If this sounds like something you want to be involved in, just let us know. Donations in any amount will also help finalize the course and make it available to those in the community and all around the capital region.

We just about have 18 playable holes!

Most of the large clearing is done for all holes.

Holes 10, 12, 14, 15, and 17 are completely done, with maybe some minor brush clearing or dragging to be done.

Hole 11 needs some more play testing before we decide what to cut, if anything, as well as dragging.

Holes 16 and 18 are the only holes left with any significant work left to do. Both are playable, but we need to do some more brush clearing on 18 and some light cutting/clearing on 16 depending on which way the hole ends up going.

Yes, we are planning to add red tees. A few of the holes will use the same tee as they are shorter but technical holes. (At least hole 13 and 17 for now)
