Re: Work Day schedule
Is anybody down for some work next week? Summer is here and I am itching to get some stuff done. I cleaned up the fairway on 10 a little bit more this morning. Now I'm ready to put in the 4 tee boxes we have gotten approval for. I think it was holes 8, 10, 12, and 16.

Re: CPS Basket Fundraising
That is what it was. We said it was good for 3 years but realistically it looks like the signs will last a lot longer than that. If you sponsor a hole we would like your direct input in how you want your money to benefit the course. Then our board will vote on it and then get it done.

Re: Central Park Tee Pads
Those pavers do look awesome but unfortunately they are so expensive. They are more than twice as much as concrete. Do you really think these rubber mats will wear out that quickly? In a kitchen they would be on a hard surface with somebody walking on them constantly. These are even thicker then the...

Central Park Tee Pads
We are experimenting with what we can use in the wooded area and still keep it looking “natural”. We promised the local park users that we wouldn’t install concrete tee pads in the wooded park areas. This includes holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7. If we keep these natural I am sure we won’t have a problem...

The frier will be there! :D Feel free to bring items to fry. I am not going to fry wings because they took too long last time but I will get nuggets, fries, and onion rings.

Re: 2011 DisCap bag tags
No need to rush this... Lets looks at some examples and then we can vote on what we want. This is a big fund raiser and should be dealt with properly through our board. I love the enthusiasm but we should not make any final decisions here. We have a nice printed logo that is our "brand". I...

Re: 2011 DisCap bag tags
I got a quote on a custom brand of the discap logo and it was $400... not worth it in my mind. I would like to try the printed logo glued on the back and then dipped in the polly. The polly will cover it all and protect it. I am just wondering if the polly will cause the ink to run on the printed lo...

Re: Ace Race 2010 - October 30th @ CPS ** SOLD OUT **
I am going to fire up the grills (there are four of them). We are going to sell food to fundraise for DisCap and the SDGC to help make some improvements to the course. We are going to keep it real simple. The menu will probably look something like this… Food Hot Dog – 1.50 Meat Sauce - .50 Hamburger...

Re: Work Day schedule
The bricks were the first blue tee that I installed when we just had an object course. The white tee is across the path and yes it needs to be cleared. That is where Zip measured with his gps and what the sign shows. I can show you whenever you want.

Re: Work Day schedule
Kenji got scolded for doing "work" on the course I will set up a meeting with the arborist to go over what else we would like to have done. 1. Remove some large dead trees in fairway 2. Low branch in fairway 3. nothing 4. ?? 5. ?? 6. Trees and brush on left side of the fairway 7. Trees and...

Re: Tee Times @ CPS
Kenji, I love it! How many total do you think played? Sounds like we need a course ranger :D
I told the reporter 150 different people have played but I bet it is way past that now. Any guesses out there how many different people have played CP?

Re: Chain Cutting Ceremony - Thurs July 29 @ 6pm
I just want to thank everyone who came tonight. I think it was very successful. Mayor Stratton seemed enthusiastic. He played for over an hour afterwards with his son. We have a really good group of disc golfers in the area. Let's hope we get some good ink in the paper tomorrow.

Re: Central Park in Schenectady
I spoke to an Army recruiter last week and he wants the Army to sponsor a tournament at Central Park. I told him we were booked with tournaments until probably next year. He said he wants to do it by September. So here is what I suggested. A FREE Am Tournament where the Army buys all the player pack...

Re: DisCap home page
$13 to walk to the caves (self guided) plus $3 for disc golf and another $3 (I think) to rent discs. It is not about how much money it cost. I cannot believe it is even extra from the original 13. I can almost guantee anybody that plays it once will not be going back. I never would and our summer ho...

Re: DisCap home page
Let’s make one thing clear. I want to and have been working hard to expand the sport of disc golf as much as I can. However, I do not see this course doing that at all. Charging people (kids) to play, and charging them more to rent discs, on a course where the longest hole is not 200, maybe 100, doe...
