About time there was an ace thread for Willow... perhaps some day I will actually throw one.

Or even see one thrown.

Hmm  ...say, Greg, ya wanna come over to Willow some afternoon for a round and a walk in the woods? It's not that far... I could even give you a ride.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!! :banana-linedance:

I've been throwing golf discs for almost 20 years, been playing seriously for the past five years, and I finally saw my first ace today. And I even threw it!

Appropriately enough, it was on hole #5 at Willow, into the one basket I bought and installed at the course, from the 280ft blue tee that I redesigned, with one of the four Rocs I carry (this one a Roc3).

And after the baskets, chains, and poles that I have hit in the past five years with almost but not quite perfect drives, I got my ace on a lucky, silly, one-in-a-million wind shot.

As you can see from the towel I clipped to the basket... the wind was roaring today, 15-25 mph or so...

I aimed about 90 feet right of the hole, about 10ft off the ground. The wind lifted my throw up about 40 ft vertically, stalled it out, threw it back towards the basket, and slammed it off the trunk of a huge tree to the right of the pole. The disc fell down, hit the ground about 10 feet away from the pole, and bounced on edge. And then the wind picked the disc up, tumbled it sideways, and bitch-slapped it into the chains.

So I guess I will have to start putting my $ in for the ace pots, now that I know that my discs actually have a prayer of going in on the drive.

WHEEEEEEEEE!!!! :D

Thanks! I just realized that it's one year and ten days from the last time I posted on this thread with a "wish I could see one someday..." Wonder if it means I will have to play next year on May 4th.

Gee wish I could see another ace someday ;)
