**Its Official!!**

The Town and the Club have now given official approval for this event!! To avoid a scheduling conflict, with a tournament in the Corning area the new players clinic will be held on Saturday, October 23rd and the Tournament will be held on Sunday, October 24th. Here are some details, more will follow:

Saturday, October 23rd:
New players clinic. Players new to the sport will be invited to learn from experienced players. 3 disc starter sets will be available for sale with the Oneonta Rotary Open Hot Stamp. We will set up as many holes as we can and have experienced players set out with groups of 2 or 3 new players to introduce them to the game. A stock of loaner discs will be available for players that do not wish to buy a starter set.

Sunday, October 24th:
Full service tournament utilizing temporary baskets. There will be 36 holes of golf, players packs, field events, raffle prizes, CTPs, and lunch will be available. Jeff and I have discussed this being October's Monthly Discap Tag Challenge as well. Registration info will follow soon.

Thank you to everybody that has offered up baskets for this event. I will start the list over again since the date has changed. Please post here if you can let us borrow a basket. Please let me know the type of basket and whether I can use it Saturday, Sunday, or both.

Thank you to Michigan Jeff for volunteering to be my co-TD. I'll be taking care of all the "event planning" TD duties, while Jeff will lend his expertise as a rules official and managing the tournament on event day.

If you would like to help out on Saturday at the players clinic I will put you up at my place Saturday night. The basement bar will be flowing freely. :obscene-drinkingbuddies:

I have a DisCatcher Traveler you can use for Both Days. Call me (518-365-3157) to coordinate as I will not be able to attend either day.

Thanks Ven and Jeff. Almost half way there. Sorry you will not be able to make it Ven, we will have to find a different tag-master for the day. Easiest thing to do is probably to send it up with Kenji.

That's fantastic Will. Are you heading west for the Twin Creek Tournament?

Very Cool, I already have players from that tournament that are planning on making the trip into Oneonta Saturday night and crashing at Chateau Dave for my tournament on Sunday morning. Albany players playing Twin Creek are welcome to stay at my place Friday night to cut their travel time Saturday morning as well as Saturday night.

What type of basket do you have Will?

its an instep. kinda prone to spit outs and cut throughs. if you get more than you need you'd probably want to put her on practice-basket duty.

Chateau Dave on Saturday night!
