10 Years at Northern Lights/Upstate Concert Hall tonight. Been wanting to see them for a few years but I think it's the first time they've come around here. Possibilities for me this summer at the same venue - Streetlight Manifesto, Social Distortion, Jimmy Eat World, Gaslight Anthem, Matisyahu.

Ommegang concerts this summer announced so far - Old Crow Medicine Show, Grace Potter, Black Crowes.

Waiting to see what Saranac Brewery (in Utica) has for concerts this year.

Mountain Jam still up in the air for me - don't think I can do the full weekend, but one day tix are up there in price and a lot of the best artists are spread out over the days (for obvious reasons)...hmmm...

Saw Social Distortion there w/Shad a year or 2 ago. Great show.

Def interested in a show or 2 at Ommegang this summer. Would love to see Black Crowes and Old Crow. Hey, it's a Crow-down! heh.

Also been waiting for the Saranac sched. Been wanting to go for years yet never have. They usually have a nice line up. Let me know when it's up.

Keep an eye on groupon and living social for Mtn Jam offers. I got a day ticket for 1/2 price a couple of years ago. I'll be going this year, anywhere from 1 day to all 4. Really like the lineup this year. Good stuff each day. Would love to see Primus and Widespread again.

Albany Alive at 5 schedule has been announced. def will be at Parliament on June 27, and likely The Wailers on Aug 1

The rest of the area's free concert series should be announced soon. Can't wait.

Waiting for Schenectady Music Haven to announce theirs. Music Haven is held in Central Park's amphitheater (just over the first base line of the ball field next to Tee 8). It's an awesome venue and they bring diverse music in from all over the world. Often Grammy winners.

If anyones interested in a one night pass to Mtn Jam let me know. The only show I would like to see would be Primus, and that's Thursday night. I'm not willing to take time off from work to go out that night, and I only have the one pass and couldn't convince anyone to go with me anyways.
The pass was a prize from the Hunter Mtn. Bowl of Ice, so I just have Skot's contact info to make use of the pass he gave me.

First come first serve. PM me if you're interested, and I'll give you more details.

New concerts at The Linda...

http://www.nippertown.com/2013/06/07/new-concerts-take-root-at-the-linda/

For those of you not familiar with The Linda, it is WAMC's (our local NPR) show space. It is an old converted bank right on Central Ave in Albany. Bet you've driven by it a million times and never noticed.

It's a great little space that allows you to share in an intimate show with some exceptionally talented performers. I just saw the incredible Paul Kelly there last week and left with chills.

I urge you to see a show here. I doubt you'll be disappointed.
