No apologies tim. This is definitely an angle to play (to pun). I've thought about the Skidmore connection b4. Didn't have the insight you seem to. Let's see about this.

Nice! Moving targets. I've always thought if the baskets would just cut to the disc and layout, golfing would be easier.

downsides:

-$1500!
-range of only 300ft.
-only 3 hours of battery life
-80 lbs, looks difficult to move once battery dies.

Run it out 300ft to the landing zone of your 450ft hole and then move it the extra 150 after you drive and start walking toward your lie.
3 hours would be plenty of "run time" as it would be sitting idle while you played the hole.

yeah maybe. I think it would still drain power when not moving though. It seems pretty cool, but will be a tough sell at that price point.

would need to be self levelling as that does not appear to be.

Lots of easy fixes for this the par 3 version. Dream big. Solar powered!
Imagine you get to the green and one of these is eternally rotating in a figure 8. A great leveler for disc golf. Elevating the importance of putting so the game becomes more a mix of skills (like ball golf is) instead of the one dimensional game of best drives disc golf is now.

Sometimes I like to play golf while wearing an eye patch. When I miss a putt I go ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRG!

i like it shad. maybe we should do a pirate themed event. everyone has to come in pirate wear. the eye patch could be used as a penalty. best costume wins a prize.

Isn't it about time for another pirate round?

A couple parks in my neck of the woods.......

Shenantaha Creek Park - Around 50 acres, open and wooded

Kinns Road Park - About 60 acres, all wooded
