The Town of Chatham NY has approved a disc golf course on 104 acres on Route 295 around the Town Hall (488 State Route 295, Chatham, NY 12037-3714) and the Transfer Station. The land has mostly not been used at all for years, except for a gravel pit, which is in the process of being closed. As of August 2011, the DisCap design team is working on the first 9 holes. Organizers are also working with the gravel mine closers to allow for a parking lot and a maximum of awesome holes. Fund raising will start soon.
